This item was fantastic for the two weeks it worked. When it was time to recharge, it did not hold a charge. I called the seller and they told me it was not my problem and that Amazon.com is okay with this policy. REALLLLY???

BOOOOO shame on this reseller.

Don’t buy from them and be sure you keep your box and supplies because this thing is so crappily made – there is a chance you will have to return it.

I am off to call the manufacturer – since nobody at SHOPWARS can help me.

I am also going to call amazon and ask for a refund, too.

Wish me luck!

Amazing for it’s size!

I purchased this device from the advice of a friend that seen this model in Las Vegas this past spring and also purchased one after his trip. I had back surgery almost 2 years ago and whatever happened caused my right leg to develope drop foot. A nerve was either crushed when my disc herniated or maybe even damaged during the surgery. Whatever the reason I had physical therapy for a few weeks trying to help my leg to get back it’s ability to function properly again. They had a very expensive looking machine that was about the size of a cash register that they would use on my leg that had nearly the same type of pads stuck to my calf muscle and close to my inside ankle joint. This device would shoot an electrical impulse to my leg alternating intensity to help stimulate my muscle and nerve in my leg. This Hi Dow Xp3 nearly duplicated the exact treatment my insurance was paying for at about $350 a session. I wish I knew about this device because it really helps my leg somewhat gain back more feeling in it. Also works good on my lower back where the surgery took place. (L4 and L5). The nerve was damaged too severely to repair itself but this device keeps me from developing atrophy with that leg. At any rate, this is a very powerful little device and really seems to hold a charge well too. You may want to get an extra set of pads for backups since they aren’t expensive. I’m not sorry I purchased this and it arrived 2 days after I ordered it! Very pleased.

Works just as well as the machines in the Physical Therapist’s office . . . instant relief. Half the cost as other models out there . . . highly recommend!

Great when it works properly

Like a lot of people, I experienced the Hi-Dow XP3 in Vegas and decided to hunt it down when I returned from my trip. When it works, it’s great, but there seems to be a short in the wires connecting the unit (which feels flimsy) to the pads. If the position changes, it tends to stop working. I usually have to take the plug out and reinsert it a couple of times before it works again. They are proprietary, so you can’t quite go into Radio Shack for a replacement.

The sensation is like your muscles are being flexed or massaged and it really helps with muscle soreness and relaxation. I use it after a trip to the gym or after a long work day to help prevent being sore the next day.

The massage slippers (available through other sellers) are probably a men’s size 8 or 9, but the velcro straps help them stay on pretty well. The sensation from the slippers, which plug into the XP3 unit, is basically just low-grade electrocution. Like with the slippers, when the pads are used anywhere below the calf, it only seems to feel like tingling, rather than muscle stimulation or massage.

Purchasing extra pads is recommended because they do dry out a bit, even with adding moisture and keeping them in a sealed bag.

Great Product, Even better customer service

I bought the XP3 as I am an ex-collegiate rugby athlete and used a similar product for muscle aches and strains. It helps now since I sit at a desk all day and get bad neck and should pain from being tense.

After 1 year with the product it started having a problem charging. I contacted Hi-Dow and they had me ship them the product to be looked over. Less than 2 weeks later I received a brand new product with a great explanation and apology. Apparently mine was one of the earlier versions that had a problem that has since been resolved. It was so refreshing to have such great, hassle-free customer service.

I highly recommend the product as it works great and I highly recommend the company.

Best $$ I’ve spent in a long time!

I tried out this product in Vegas and love it, but their price was a little steep……so I googled it and bought the Hi-Dow Massage XPIII . . . and . . . besides it being priced 50% less than they wanted in Vegas, it’s the best $$ I’ve spent in a long time. I love it!!! However, I do wish I would’ve bought some extra pads when I ordered it (they say the pads last 2-3 months, but if you use it as often as I have been, they don’t – no matter how careful you are). Bottom line, both thumbs up! – Diane M.

“Electrical Stim” Massager

I like it and use it often. Though not as sophisticated and programmable as electrical stim gear at the chiropractor or osteopath’s office, this uses only 100 Hz at 10 Volts, yet fits in your pocket, goes everywhere, is quiet, with tunable intensity from hardly noticeable to really overwhelmingly strong, has a variety of modalities from “thumping” to “needling”, has a self timer of 20 minutes, comes with 4 nice sticky pads (the life of which can be prolonged with drops of water when storing), AC (USB) recharger, and an educational booklet on Chinese medicine points (though they do say to just put the pads where it hurts if you don’t want to read and understand Chinese medicine points). All in all, a good compromise to provide “massage” and electrical stim on demand between visits to a certified health care professional. If you use it a lot over many seasons, be prepared to also buy spare sticky pads (really large ones are available). Great product, great value, I’ve seen from ~$99 to ~$220. Compared to the cost of ONE office visit for stim, ANY of these prices is a good value.

Great massage tool

This is great… It has several setting modes and all give a different sensation. I always used to have knots in my shoulders and this little devices took care of the problem. YOu can also use it as a wonderfull sex toy! This will the boundaries of any pleasure sensation you have experienced in your life!

New design

Why oh why do they always have to change an item that works well for one that doesn’t. I purchased my original Hi-Dow XP at a Vegas massage shop beneath Planet Hollywood in that huge underground shopping mall. It worked like a dream until I dropped it on hard tiles. I ordered this replacement and noticed that it is distinctly less powerful and from time to time there is a little jolt of shocking electricity in one of the pads. Looks like I’m headed back to Vegas soon for a new massager, because this was no happy ending.

The massager functions all right. I ordered a masager with silver color, as shown on the web. However, I received a black one. I wrote an email to complaint about it, they just ignored me. You have to make sure about that when you place your order.

Healing Garden Sleep Well Review

THIS particular Healing Garden CD is one of my favourite, perhaps even my most favourite of all of them. I love this one so much that I totally wore out the first one and this purchase was my second one. That’s how much the CD has been played.

A must for anyone who wants to relax at the end of a long day.

Dreadful

The first track is punctuated by annoying percussion noises that interrupt whatever the melody might be. If one were trying to get to sleep, this would be the anti-sleep track. Other tracks have very strange electronic tone shifts – akin to the sound made by a tape recorder if you manually stopped the reel. One of these tracks made me feel like I was going to throw up. The tracks that were not actually annoying were devoid of musicality and did not rise to even the level of mediocrity.
Shame, because other disks in this series are quite pleasant.

Soothing sleep music that has a nice price

We own about 7 of the titles in this Healing Garden Series. They do all sort of “sound alike” as another reviewer stated, but they accomplish the purpose for us.

When my kids are wound up or having a hard time sleeping, I let them choose which Healing Garden they want to listen to. Just telling them that I am putting in “sleep well” for them seems to set the stage for them to begin to relax and prepare to sleep. The music is pleasant and soothing and they have no trouble falling asleep with it playing softly in the background.

There are many similar albums out there but they always seem to cost quite a bit more (around $9 or $10) so I think these are a good deal.

Give a relative a job.

This has to be nepotism in work because I have all of the albums and they all sound the same…..cheap and repetitive. Boring enough, though, to help you get to sleep at night (at least my dog thinks so).

The shower rail & shut off handle is a great idea… but not worth the HUGE price amount being asked … I needed a swivel, and this was the only one I found at the time… It’s a plastic swivel , & plastic head, and cheap-o glue install (still needs screws)… Price sb only $40 … It will likely only last about a year, then break … Not certain of the life it will give … Legal robbery… The product isn’t worth $100
