How I can apply essential oils for Bacillus subtilis?
Hello! I am doing some advanced science fair project, as required for my school, and I've never worked with bacteria. I'm only in seventh grade so it's understandable = D. Anyway, my experiment is to see if essential oils such as cinnamon oil, lavender oil, and so can be used as antibacterial against bacteria. Actually I have no idea how to obtain essential oils in bacteria, there is a special disk I have to put on it or something? Thank you soo much! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
His teacher science must be able to tell you, but … Are you using Petri dishes? You could cut tiny squares of absorbent paper, such as watercolor paper, labeled A, B, C, etc. with a waterproof pen, put a drop of each essential oil being tested and put the paper in the petri dish. If the essential oil stops growth of bacteria, and then things grow around him, some distance from the small square, and if the oil does not stop, it will grow right over it.

I read a lot of people saying just use a little, but what happens if you use too much? Is it even possible to overdose on it?
Essential oils are very strong and should be used with caution. I've also read on natural health magazines that lavender oil can mess with the endocrine system of young men and can lead to excessive growth of mammary glands. I do not use! There are many other soothing herbs out there to prove it. A change in diet can help tremendously.
