The smell is so sweet and delicious. I put some drops in my raw Shea butter and it worked great. It is not a very expensive product here and they even sent me a little gift! It was a neat surprise. Will definitely recommend and buy again. Thanks.

I was pleased to receive this bottle of Lavender oil as quickly as I did. The lavender oil smells nice, but the true lavender scent is not as strong as I had hoped. I have never bought lavender oil before, so perhaps this is how they all are. I wanted to make a linen spray with the oil. I only wish there were more to the contents, but I am happy with it overall.

I love the aroma of lavendar and the health properties associated with it. This particular product is excellent for promoting hair growth; for preventing scars and for aromatherapeutic uses. It has a gentle aroma and feels quite pleasant on the skin. It can also be used on bites to reduce itching. You can also place a drop of this oil on a towel in your bathroom so as to have a pleasant aroma.

I am new to oils and have been told lavender is great to help relax. After searching for a pure oil that won’t leave an overwhelming smell, I purchased this one based on the reviews. I have tried it and I like very much. The smell is great not real strong but you still get the benefits of what you would look for in a lavender scent.

I love this lavender oil, I use it in my home rather than other ‘home fragrance’ sprays. Works well to diffuse the odors from a stinky diaper pail! And I don’t have to worry about my son breathing in chemicals that might be harmful to him. Plus, lavender is supposed to be calming, so the bedroom seems like the perfect place to use this scent.

I love lavender i use it for everything. headaches, going to bed faster, calming down relaxing,
its a very good oil. i heard somewhere that it can be used for piercings but that is not true, oils aren’t good for piercings cuz the piercing can’t breathe through oil so it doesn’t heal. i do use it so i don’t scar on wounds and what not. it works wonders.

Smells absolutely wonderful. It’s great to use on laundry especially if you use unscented detergents. You could also add some of this to a bottle of coconut and Jojoba oil! Great stuff! I wish I got a bigger size.

I wish I knew more about how the grow and distill this product so I knew if I am truly getting the best, as you are in Young Living Essential Oils.
Lavender is a must have, along with tea tree and peppermint. Yes to natural health.

Pure Essential oil…

There is a difference between a lavender “perfume oil” (mostly synthetic) which smells much nicer than a pure essential oil. Pure oils are not synthetic, and are responsible for the healing properties of oils. Thay may be used in small quantities in perfumes, but usually synthetics are used because essential oil is very “volatile” (meaning it evaporates quickly). The purity of this oil is excellent and great for all uses requiring a pure essential oil. As a licensed aromatherapist (UK & NZ), I am quite happy with this oil-it is a great value for the price. Also recommended is : “Gattefosse’s Aromatherapy: The First Book on Aromatherapy” by
Rene-Maurice Gattefosse (Author), Robert B. Tisserand (Editor) ~ a wonderful book that explains the “science” behind Aromatherapy & it’s discovery by the chemist (1880’s) Gattefosse.

I love this oil, you can never go wrong when you buy Plantlife…I use it in my bath, burn it in my difuser, put alittle under my pillow…just so may great ways to use this oil.

Not as pleasant an aroma as expected

I was expecting a more pleasant aroma. It’s borderline unpleasant. This is my first essential oil purchase so I don’t know if it’s because I got a bad batch, or if it’s this species of lavender, or if all lavender oils smell this way. Needless to say I won’t be purchasing it again, I’ll try some other oil.

not quite lavender

I am a huge lavender fan! This bottle of 100% pure lavender essential oil doesn’t smell exactly like lavender to me. I have many lavender products but this lavender scent is not what I am familiar with. I cannot pinpoint what it smells like…don’t get me wrong, it’s still a nice scent. I’ll still use it but will look elsewhere for another lavender oil.

This is one of my very favorite Lavenders as it is a bit sweeter than the others. A true lavender scent and as with all Lavenders a MUST HAVE. This one is true and of higher frequency than others I’ve purchased, very pleased with it.

NOT My Favorite Lavender Pure Essential Oil

As an herbalist, I prefer other varieties of lavender than the variety used in this product. The fragrance of this is okay, but it is not as true or as pleasant as others. The oil consistency is quite thin. It may be therapeutic grade oil, but on the skin it feels more like kerosene than other pure essential oils I’ve used. It tends to stay atop the skin more than other oils which are absorbed better or more thoroughly. If used in a diffuser (such as a bowl that heats the oil over a tealight candle) it disappears much faster than usual, must be replenished more often, and a larger quantity of it must be poured in than expected.

I’ve used and sold many brands of pure essential oils over the years, but have never run into one like this before. I was immediately confused and dismayed with the fragrance upon opening the bottle anticipating that first clean, rich scent to which I am accustomed; did not anticipate having to use such a huge quantity of it in my diffuser nor watch it disappear (I usually only have to add drops of oil, not literally pour it in, filling the diffuser bowl; and the drops are usually sufficient to last through one tealight candle); and I’ve never known an essential oil to feel more like kerosene than oil.

As a side note, using essential oils in a diffuser is wonderful for anyone allergic to synthetic fragrance products (air fresheners or upholstery fresheners) and they can permeate your entire home, no matter in which room the diffuser is placed, as well as curtains and upholstery.

It never fails to impress me how rich and full bodied this Lavender oil is! Although I chose it for its therapeutic properties, I highly recommend it as an all-purpose Lavender essential oil.

Terrible Smell, Induces Headache!

I bought this because the reviews said it smelled nice. Oh how wrong they were, I tried it out and it was so overpowering as far as smell. It does not smell good at all, and you wind up with a headache in 30 minutes. I had to open all the windows in the house and Febreze everything to try and get the odor out. I would not advise anyone to buy this.

Very relaxing

It has a very soothing, relaxing, and refreshing aroma. I apply a drop of this oil on a cotton ball and smear it on the vents of my table fan. This fills the whole room with its fragrance.

More of a hip, unisex aroma than granny smell. Perfect for unwinding those frazzled nerves after a crazy day. The aroma is mainly lavender, but the other oils keep it from smelling all flowery. My husband evens likes it. Works particularly well in linen sprays. Makes our sheets smell great!

I love this stuff!

I love mineral makeup, but it is just too drying for me. I’m 56 and my skin already tends to be a little dry. So in looking for something that would give alot of moisture prior to applying mineral makeup, I found this. Whoopie! It works great. It’s not for the faint at heart though. Many would find it too greasy but I love it. The mineral makeup becomes one with this stuff, not even any settling into crevices around the eyes. Not one tight feeling all day and my mineral makeup stays on great. I don’t think it’s the fountain of youth, but my skin’s holding up pretty well!

smoother skin

This is the 1st time I have used shea butter.I have always used regular lotion on my face. At 55 years old nature and gravity are tring to take over so I decided to try something different. I really like this stuff. It’s quite solid in the container but when you put it on and rub it in it softens and feels oily but that’s a good thing. Although I haven’t used it for very long it appears to be helping with fine lines and it sure does make my face feel real soft. I use it at night before bed, a little bit goes a long way and one jar will last for a looooong time.

I love this product! It’s fabulous! Very silky, not grainy at all like some shea butters. It’s unrefined so it retains all it’s healthful properties. It has just the right hint of lavender. I used it through my entire pregnancy and it kept the stretchmark monster away! I’m a fairly slender woman and was ALL baby. By rights I should have had a roadmap on my stomach! Not one. Not even a hint of a stretchmark! I love it!

Not that fragrant.

I picked up two of these at a local store. I placed them in the living room and the bedroom. Try as I did, I could not detect a noticeable odor from these diffusers in either room. I walked right up to the bottles on several occasions and sniffed the bottles just to be sure I wasn’t crazy. There is fragrance in and around the bottle but to say it fragrances the whole room is a bit of stretch. The bottles are empty now and I’m just going to refill them with another brand reed diffuser oil. I gave it two stars because the glass bottles are nice. Great concept, poor execution.

Not very fragrant

I picked some of this up since I use a lot of lavender oil and it was a nice price — but it smells like hay, and lacks the floral tones one usually expects of lavender. I don’t think I would buy it again.
