Good, even though it’s an “oil”

Review:
I have to be honest and say that I don’t like oily things on my body. I’m just not a fan of feeling greasy. This rule applies to suntan oils, massage oils and baby belly oils (hey, I’m not prejudice!). So, when Earth Mama Angel Baby asked me to try it out I wasn’t too excited. After all, I would have to rub something with the word “oil” in the title onto my skin.

When I opened the bottle and took a sniff (with my super-sensitive pregnant nose) I was happy to find that the scent was super mild, almost nonexistent. This was a big positive for me.

I used two pumps of the oil in the palm of my hand and then applied to my 24-week-pregnant belly. I was pleasantly surprised that the oil was not too watery so it didn’t run everywhere. I actually used two more pumps of the oil to make sure I got enough on the sides of my stomach towards my back.

Now, the big test for me was how greasy it felt after application and how long it stayed greasy. It left a very thin layer of oil on the top of my skin. I asked my hubby to feel to make sure I wasn’t being overly sensitive but he could feel it, too. I went ahead and put on my pajamas and climbed into bed. About 30 minutes later the oil had completely absorbed into my skin. Not too bad for an oil product!

Actually, I have continued to use Earth Mama Angel Baby Belly Oil in the evenings and, so far, no stretch marks! I would recommend this product to my pregnant friends, especially if they don’t have an aversion to oil like I do.

In addition, I plan to bring this oil with me to the hospital so that my nurse and/or husband can use it during labor for a perineal massage. I really don’t want to have another episiotomy!

Great product

I ordered thsi at the same time as a number of other pregnancy lotions and oils. This one is by far my favorite. It smells great, absorbs nicely and leaves my skin glowing. Honestly, every time I use this my husband comments on how healthy my skin looks! What a nice feeling to have a pregnancy glow at 7 months along!

Smells great and no stretch marks!!

Because my mother has tons of stretch mark from her pregnancies, I was worried that it was hereditary and began faithfully using this product since I started showing (second trimester). I rubbed it on after every shower and any time I start getting itchy on my belly. Despite people telling me that nothing will prevent stretch marks, I am happy to say that I have not gotten ANY stretch marks on my belly. The only ones I got were on my hips, where I neglected to put the oil! I plan on continuing to use the stretch oil after the delivery since I hear that sometime stretch marks can come on after the birth. The stretch oil smells nice, like oranges, and it always takes away the itchiness. I highly recommend it.

I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been using this oil since the very beginning of my pregnancy. I have no stretch marks and love how soft it makes my skin feel. I have never had it leave any marks on my clothes and it has no apparent odor. I have recommended this to all my friends.

This product, used with the Earth Mama Angel Baby Stretch Body Butter helped my wife throughout the pregnancy with skin itchiness and helped prevent stretch marks from appearing. Please keep in mind that is LARGELY depends on genes and your family history on whether or not you will develop stretch marks, but this definately helped my wife. I did alot of research and found this to smell great and work good. It is safer to use than many of the other over the counter items. She used to put this on right before bed, then used the body butter when she got up and when she got home from work. Use the oil liberally and don’t be afraid to use on other places of the body. It helped with her itchy skin and left her skin feeling smooth and very nice to the touch. Men, do your wife a favor and surprise her with this stuff here, especially if she hates the smell of the cocoa butter. Plus with the Subscribe and Save option, you save even more! My only gaffe is this isn’t really sealed, it just has a piece of tape over the pump to prevent the leaks. Make sure you lay on your side for a while if you put on before bed or it’ll rub off.

Perfect for my baby

I was looking for pure almond oil to massage my newborn. I did not want to use the baby oil b’coz of mineral oils that they constitute. I used burt bee’s oil for first 2 months and then found this. I’m glad I tried. I just love this oil. It is unscented, not too sticky and kind on my baby’s skin. I suggested it to all my friends and cousins!

I have very dry skin and I used to have to periodically scour the planet for almond oil (that didn’t cost a small fortune). When I finally decided to go online and look for something, I was so impressed that I signed up for the recurring shipments. The oil is so wonderful and lasts so long that I usually end up skipping every other shipment, which means one bottle lasts me about three months. It is just perfect – not too greasy, and no fragrance to conflict with my Sensuous cologne. I definitely recommend this to others like me for whom lotions just don’t work. I rub a generous amount all over after a shower and it lasts all day.

It doesn’t leave residue. Very neutral odor. It’s virtually odorless on the skin. It has a built in dropper cap, allowing for sanitary application, and it’s a true dropper cap. So many times, when using oil, I have squeezed out more than necessary. You only need a few drops and it eliminates dragging. You can very easily glide over the skin. It leaves the skin feeling softer. I purchased to use as a carrier oil. For people without nut allergies, this is great. Still, I love Biotone cream for giving massages, but this is a welcome addition and very useful with essential oils.

This is nice oil, but it’s very minty, and therefore, “cooling,” but not necessarily relaxing because of the strong smell– next time I would try something with lavender.

Nice oil

This oil is really good. It’s goes on smooth and silky and is easily absorbed by the skin. The scent isn’t too over-powering. The only negative thing I have to say is that I myself haven’t had it used on me.

I’m not sure what people who are having problems burning this candle are doing, but when I lit it, it melted quickly, i blew out the flame, got some oil and spread it all over…. smelled fantastic, and totally natural so I felt that much “greener”

I have recommended this to all of my friends… try out the other scents, especially the eucalyptus and the carrot/coconut (my favorite)

Only part of the wax melted

The product itself is nice. However, the wick burned down the middle, leaving the surrounding wax (about half of it) unmelted and unusable (unless I figure out some other way to melt it).

Great scent – disappointing as oil

I had heard so much of “massage candles” and wanted to try one myself. The Greenfire Lavender Sandalwood Vanilla Massage Oil Candle seemed perfect, as it’s made from natural ingredients only. I was all excited when it arrived because it had this fantastic scent: lavender as a base not, vanilla as a heart note, the sandalwood barely there. A great composition, neither artificial, nor obtrusive, as with so many other candles. However, I got slightly disappointed when I started burning it. The wax just wouldn’t get liquid. Only after 30 minutes I could use the first drops of oil. The next disappointment was that little, as the manufacturer advertises, does NOT go a long way. The texture of the oil is just not ideal for massages: it would suck in immediately, and instead of facilitating gliding movements would rather hamper them. I don’t think I will use this candle for massages again. It’s “aromatherapy” factor justifies the price, though.

wonderful for your skin

I had read that organic coconut oil was good for healing skin yeast infections so I thought I’d try it. This is alot of coconut oil for the price!! It smells clean and like coconut ( of course!) It cleared up my minor infection within days. I use the oil all over now because it goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin rather quickly. Don’t leave it in the sun because the heat will warm it to liquid!

A little goes a long way!

I have had acne since childhood and have tried almost every product under the sun to get rid of it. My sensitive skin transitioned to combination and was constantly red from all the products so finally I had had enough. This oil is amazing! A few drops covers my entire face as a moisturizer in the morning or can be blended with a moisturizer for a boost. It is lightweight and doesn’t feel oily on. I have left all my old harsh products behind and am using all natural now. I wish I would have done this years ago!

An incredible oil!!!

I have always had very dry arms and legs. Even though the rest of my body was extremely oily. Even though I covered my legs and arms in moisturizer, they still were very dry, with thick, cracked skin. When I was in high school I remember being so embarrassed when a boy who held my hand commented about how rough it was. I found out about jojoba oil when I was researching conditioning for my dry, curly hair. After I put the oil in hair I rubbed the excess into my hands. Even after showering the next morning, my hands felt incredible!!! So that night I used a small amount on my arms and legs. It feels like a miracle oil for me. And then I learned that it is biologically similar to human sebum. I wonder if all my body’s sebum pores are concentrated on my torso and face and lacking in my extremities. This oil has made my arms and legs feel like they have never felt my whole life. Will never be without jojoba oil again!!!!!

I picked up the 100% pure version at Trader Joes. It’s been only a week since I started using jojoba and I am in love. I originally picked it up because I get whiteheads on my nose and was told that jojoba helps. So far I’ve noticed an improvement in the short time, my skin is so soft and clean looking. I’m using it as a makeup remover also.
I also have seborrhea on the back of my scalp so I thought why not try rubbing jojoba on that as well. In just the week since I’ve started, a massive difference. I’ve had this condition since I was a little kid, I’ve tried a lot of different treatments, this by far has given the best results. I haven’t really used it on my hair. My hair is already really healthy, so the one time I rubbed the oil in my hair I didn’t notice a difference.
Since it’s summer now, I have started using this on my feet. In a weeks time, my heels are baby soft.
I’ve been so happy with the jojoba oil I’m now recommending it to friends and family.

I really like this oil. It’s not as greasy as I thought it would be. It sinks into my skin after a few minutes and I don’t have to worry about it ruining my clothes. I usually apply this on my skin at night. I only use this on my body not on my face and I’ve had no body breakouts. I’ve only been using this product for about a month. I gave it 4/5 stars because so far I don’t feel like it’s this big miracle product. I’m happy with the product and would repurchase but I wouldn’t die they stopped making it.

Organic or 100% pure. There is a big difference but not less effective.

Well I have two of the same branded jojoba oil.

One is organic and the other is 100% pure. They are slightly different.

The organic has a funny odor. It kind of smells like used cooking grease. A little unsettling but the smell is not strong and I use it only on my body and hair at night (then take a shower in the morning).

I use the 100% pure oil on my face to moisturize. There is no smell at all.

The oil in general is great. It doesn’t have a greasy feel on my skin.

When I use it on my face right after I wash it, I put two drops all over my face. It feels soft and clean. I have acne prone skin and this oil doesn’t make me break out. That is a big factor for me because throughout the day my face gets really greasy and gross and then I start to break out. The oil feels light on my face and makes my skin soft and healthy. Sometimes I accidentally put too much on and my face and becomes definitely shiny so I just take a blotting sheet and take off the extra shine but no harm done.

When I use the organic oil on my skin and hair, After I take a shower and my hair dries, it is soft and manageable. I really like it a lot. There is a difference in using it. When I do not use it and go about my daily routine, my hair feel drier.

I have been using this for about a month and I like it a lot.

I would probably go with the 100% oil because it is odorless.

It truly is unscented, and goes on very nicely. Has a nice silky feel when applied, and absorbs in nicely. Highly recommmend it.
