The Benefits of Grapefruit Essential Oil – By New Directions
Essential oils are plant oils obtained by various methods such as distillation. They are called essential oils, and wearing a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant. The use of essential oils has a history dating back at least a thousand years and has been used for medicinal, skin care and aromatherapy.
If you are lucky enough to have an herb and / or flower garden, or access to herbs and fresh cut flowers, you can make your own essential oils with fairly ease. Sweet Almond Oil with Vitamin E is the basis of all essential oils. Vitamin E acts as a natural preservative. You essential oils will last 6 to 12 months if stored in a dark, dry and cool. Remember to sterilize the containers and start with clean utensils.
Ingredients: Day 1, Repeat for 2 to 4
1 / 2 cup sweet almond oil Couple of drops of Vitamin E 1 cup fresh herbs or 1 / 4 cup chopped fruit peel, such as orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, etc., or 1 cup of fresh flowers. Wash the herbs, fruits or flower petals in the background.

Oriental Nights Perfume 4 drops of sandalwood 4 drops of musk 3 drops of frankincense 2 tsp. jojoba oil Mix all ingredients and shake well. Allow the perfume to settle for at least 12 hours. Store in a cool, dry place.
LUSCIOUS BODY POLISHER 2 C. plain yogurt 1 T. wheat germ 1 T. honey 1 tablespoon almond oil T. Omit almond oil if skin is prone to acne. Mix all ingredients. Wet the skin in the shower and massage the mixture everywhere. Rinse with warm water. Rinse immediately with cold water to stimulate circulation.
Lemony Lavender Toner 3 drops lemon oil 3 drops of lavender oil 3 tablespoons distilled water Use a cotton ball to gently massage the mixture into the skin after cleansing. Follow with a moisturizer, if desired
