Can sweet almond oil be used to moisturize my hair before I shampoo for my dry scalp and hair? It really feel?
It feels so good on my skin. Much better than moisturizers from expensive dept stores cosmetics.
Carrier oils aren’t really used to moisturize the hair.
But if it works for your hair, then go ahead and use it.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet almond oil is being used for the skin as well as for the hair to keep it healthy. It is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and Vitamin E. This odorless essential oil is made from pressed almonds and has a variety of uses from food to beauty uses.
There are many ways to use this oil on your face. From facial scrub to dark under eye circles to wrinkle reduction this oil is very versatile. Face Massage
A facial massage can be a great way to unwind at the end of a long day. Almond oil is one of the best oils to use for a facial massage. By doing the massage right before bed you allow your skin to get a maximum benefit from the oil. You can lessen the appearance of wrinkles, dry skin, impurities, and dead cells. You can easily remove black heads, nourish and moisturize your skin. Enjoy a bedtime massage and experience the difference in the morning.
Facial Cleanser
A great way to clean your face is with almond oil. It works for any skin type, especially dry or flaky skin. Do not wet your face before cleansing. Gently rub oil onto your face in a circular motion. Allow the oil to stay on your face for two to three minutes before continuing. Apply steam. You can either use direct steam or use a wet washcloth. If using the cloth, wring out excess water and lie back. Place the cloth over your face and leave there until it reaches room temperature. The steam opens your pores to remove the dirt and dead skin. The last step is using a wet washcloth to wipe away any remaining residue and dirt.
Scrub
Adding salt or sugar with the oil can make a great exfoliating scrub. If you have acne or sensitive skin you should not use salt to make the scrub. The salt or sugar scrubs away the dirt and dead skin, while the oil will moisturize the skin. You should only use the scrub once a week.
Reduce under eye circles and wrinkles
Apply the oil under eyes nightly to reduce dark circles and wrinkles. Use a cotton ball for application. After a few days you will begin to notice results.
