Essential oils at home

The use of essential oils dates back to 6000 years when the Egyptian physician, Imhotep, the god of medicine then and healing is recommended fragrant oils for bathing and massage. In 4500 a. C. The Egyptians used myrrh and cedarwood oils for embalming their dead and 6500 years preserved mummies later prove the fact discovered by modern researchers that cedar contains natural fixative properties and strong antibacterial and antiseptic. From that time forward there have been numerous cases in the use of essential oils in healing.

Today, research has shown the value and multiple uses of essential oils. Medical research in recent years has found that odors we smell have a significant impact on the way feel. Odors act directly on the brain like a drug, according to scientific research. For example, often smell of lavender increases alpha waves in the back of the head and this state is associated with relaxation. In addition, essential oils have become popular products in skin care for your valuable property.

The essential oils in the home:

The diffusers are usually made of ceramic or clay. The diffuser has a cave-like opening to the house of candles small oil lamps and the top soil is cup-shaped curves to keep a little water and few drops of aroma oil. Fill the cup up with water, add few drops of essential oils chosen depending on the oil then light the candle or lamp. For the oil lamp had a long duration, add oil castor oil for the lamp of clay, because it burns the castor oil for a very long compared to other oils used to light a lamp. Once the water and heat oil until evaporation takes place and the whole atmosphere is filled with the spicy smell

Vaporization – Consider put a few drops in a vaporizer to add a moist, subtle touch of fragrance to any room. You can also add a couple drops in a bowl of water gently steam on stove or radiator.

Potpourri as its name suggests is a mixture of dried flowers, herbs and grasses and seed pods. Add few drops of the mixture of potpourri and place in a closed container overnight. This allows the oils to absorb into the potpourri. Next morning open the box and the aroma fills the room. A few drops of essential oil added to potpourri and keep in a bowl continue to give aromatic fragrance for 4-6 weeks.

Room Sprays – As we become more conscious environment, sprays are discouraged due to its properties of ozone. Essential oils are natural and therefore, may be used freely to deodorize a room, freshen and scent your bathroom, living room, bedroom, dining room, cabin office, etc. 10.12 merely add drops of aroma oil to a pint of water and sprinkle the mixture with the help of a sprayer. Oils such as lavender, lemon, peppermint, pine and rosemary are best for this application.

The essential oils in the home are the best air filtration system. Purified by the removal of particles metal and toxins, increase oxygen in the atmosphere, increased ozone and negative ions that inhibit growth of bacteria, destroys the mold, cigarette and the smells of animals and, finally, that fill the air with a fresh scent. Above all that they are environmentally safe!

Note that I only have a list of the properties of common essential oils and their effects on mind, but also has therapeutic for body and skin. Smells like a geranium

Taste is subjective, surely, but the scent is nothing I’d want to use in a whole room. I mix this oil with lotion and rub it on my feet or have my husband massage my back and shoulders. Maybe it’s just the massage, but it does seem to help me relax. You can also use it directly on your skin , lips, neck, scars. . .as a moisturizer and cell re-generator. I kind of think of it as a kind of Vitamin E oil. Some people use it for acne as well as it regulates sebum production, but I haven’t been that brave.

This is the first time I bought it. Its not even close to sandalwood. Its a ripoff. I wont recommend to anyone. Its too expensive and no smell of sandal wood.

A great essential oil and a great price!

Sandalwood Essential Oil is hard to find and expensive these days. I was pleased to see this available here. I was more pleased to receive Santalum Album. This variety is the Indian sandalwood and difficult to find. Most suppliers have switched to other cheaper and more readily available varieties but not Nature’s Alchemy. This is the good stuff, the real Santalum Album.

It smells very nice. I have some Mysore sandalwood essential oil, the rare and expensive standard against which all other sandalwood oil is measured, and I compared this oil to the Mysore. (Mysore is virtually impossible to find anymore) This oil isn’t as good as the Mysore but it is very good. I’m going to order more of this. Sandalwood essential oil is rare and precious now. I’m happy I’ve found some.

I read in the description that this can be used for potpourri and so I bought it. Its strong and so I used just a little bit, but it never came close to smelling more like cinnamon than pickles.

If your buying if for the smell of cinnamon, don’t buy it, yuck.

Ordered this lavendar oil after getting some other brand before. This brand is much better. I use it in a heated lamp to give a nice smell to the room. Worth the extra money to know I’m getting good oil. Seems to “burn” clean, with little residue.

Lavender Oil

I love essential oils and think they are really great and so is this one except for the smell of this one it is not the same smell that i would typically associate with lavender and is more flowery…? not that same relaxing smell i was looking for so i’m not sure if it is just a different kind of lavender than what I am use to and if so i wish they would have also included the exact type it was for example english lavender.

Doesn’t smell as good as the plant,

but what oil does. Sometimes I think lavender is my can’t-do-without essential oil. I use it for: earaches, burns–including sunburn, dandruff on the cat, migraines, insomnia. Don’t put it directly on your skin; mix it with an unscented oil or lotion.

Peppermint?

I’m not sure if I got a crazy fluke, but my lavender oil labeled incorrectly. What I really received is peppermint. Truth be told, I don’t mind and I am going to keep it, but if you are looking for lavender, you may or may not get it if you order this product.
