3 years old needs speech and occupational therapy .. where to start?

My son was placed in early intervention around 2 or 2 1 / 2, that age is late I think. He needed speech therapy, occupational and development. He earned his development therpay however, found no coordinator anyone to leave the other two as she said, and half the time calling me and leaving messages, never to call or answer .. However, one week before his birthday number 3 of a speech therapist came and made an assessment, but since he was turning 3, couldnt help .. So, where I to go to get the help you need? local school? .. hospital? I'm not sure how the school system would help, but it is okay to use diapers.

The Early Intervention Program must be in the process of transition of their son's Special Education Program for preschool children in their local school district. By federal law, all public schools must provide free and appropriate education and services to 3 years. This edition includes special services, and as "related services" spoken, Occupational Therapy, etc. systems differ as to how this transition occurs. Some school systems to accept all assessments of Early Intervention Program, others may make their own tests to determine if a child meets the criteria for special services under one of the categories defined in federal and stateregulationss. Call first Coordinatorr Interventionn early to begin the transition to the preschool program special education in public school now. She should guide you through the entire process, provide a timeline and procedures and attend meetings with school personnel.

As far too many schools today, autistic children are punished or even expelled for behaving differently from other children. Inappropriate behavior such as hitting or even hurt themselves are punished and scolded and children are labeled as bad behavior without receiving proper training and the necessary treatment. This serves to create a social stigma around autistic children, but also deprives them of the quality education they deserve. ABA therapy is a treatment for shown that autism is used in many schools and can help teach children the behavioral skills they need to thrive when in a classroom or the environment the real world.

ABA therapy uses a number of methods for the management of teaching behavior. Discrete trial teaching, the most common ABA, use messages and repetition to teach these skills. It may be a simple compliment or a pat on the back or the label or even once a beloved toy, but these reinforcements to help a child with autism to understand what the behavior given a favorable reaction and desired.

In order to prevent autistic children denied the same opportunities as other students, school systems need to implement solid training ABA therapy. This can help ensure that the child is always taught the same messages and many behavior programs available. There can be taught in school, with all materials needed to properly implement the course. ABA offers hope for school systems and students. When you have a student with an autism spectrum disorder, is his work as an educator to understand and anticipate their needs and to fully comply. With the right training and education, students can learn to develop as well as any student of his school.
