Any massage used during labor?
I am 36 weeks pregnant with my son 2ed. I had a natural birth drug-free with the first. I got a through pain, but it was harder then I thought. But worth it for me, however. I was not very good "breather" and ended for needing oxygen during labor to push. Anyway I think this 2ed have a drug free as well, and I've been practicing my breathing. I have read that massage during labor and delivery is very soothing and will help keep my mind pain. Aromatherpist I have a friend that I made a special potion Clarey sage oil, lavender and jasmine. Jasmine is suppost to help srengthen contractions and make them more productive and help milk flow. lavender is soothing and calming and Clary sage is to currclation and strenghting contractions. I have an awesome husband is going to do the massage and the doctor and the hospital allows. I'm looking for people who have used these oils or massage. What were your experiences and any advice? thanks
I also had a natural birth, the only pain relief I had was my boyfriend massage for 6 hours straight, without oil, though, but helped me, and I do not think I could have done without it, I think massage is a great alternative to drugs. I planning to have subsequent births, of course, too.
