Here are some tips for getting the maximum benefit from any type of massage or bodywork session.
Before the session: For a efficient and pleasant to the body, a clean body is essential, showering or bathing during the day before your appointment. It is also advisable not to eat a big meal of about 1 to 2 hours before your session.
Minimize stress to get to your appointment. If you arrive in a frenzied, rushed state it will take more time for you to relax.
Remember to tell your therapist of any changes in their health and any areas of pain.
During his tenure session: Ask any questions you may have regarding your session. Please report any discomfort either in relation to the session (amount of pressure, speed of movement, etc.) or the environment (room temperature, music volume, lighting, etc..) When you receive more work is necessary and important for both the client and the communication professional to determine the appropriate degree of pressure.
Relax on experience. The tightening (contracting muscles or body) during a session is counterproductive.
After the session: It is best not to rush, but to come slowly. Take the time to return to a normal activity level, and clothing.
For the next 24 hours, drink more water than any form of loose body toxins in the body that needs to be flushed out of your system.
Also, is a good idea not to plan any activity or strenuous exercise for at least four hours. If you can, take your time and space to relax. Leave a little peace, if possible after the session to integrate or absorb the effects.
Give the period session 24 to 48 hours of work in your body. Occasionally you may feel discomfort 12 hours or more after a session with a deep work, but this rarely be the case. Call if you have concerns.
Note: Receipt of massage and bodywork in a consistent manner is more beneficial than receiving it infrequently. The therapeutic effects of massage are cumulative. Thus, most often a person receives the body, the better he or she will feel and the faster the body will reply. Receiving regular bodywork also offers a way to learn more about specific body needs and patterns of tension and prevent problems before they happen. Enhancing general relaxation, it also leads to a feeling of well being, better mental and physical performance, and increased enjoyment of life.
