Individuals in the first place, however, to undergo training adequate education and one of several massage schools, colleges or universities to gain entry-level massage therapy careers. General training covers the anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage and sometimes, sports massage. While standard training that involves a minimum of 300-500 hours of class, some programs are well above 1000 hours. In addition, a number of universities provide massage graduate courses in massage therapy.
Students seeking careers in massage therapy can also be applied to programs for advanced training in therapy myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage therapy, Tuina, chair / corporate massage, medical massage, among other subjects.
In general, careers in massage therapy consisting of healers and practitioners of natural massage with a strong desire to help others. Besides having a professional sense, persons who have satisfactorily completed all academic requirements and training can expect ample job opportunities – according to the Bureau of Statistics U.S. Labor, massage therapy courses is increasing and is expected to grow throughout the next decade.
