Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative practices of medicine and certain spiritual beliefs.
The Buddhists of Tibet developed its natural resources of oil coming from the bark of trees, stems, flowers and many other plants, including roots or seeds. Over time, these resources are known as aromatherapy and were used to help heal the body and mind.
The people who will know what certain types of plants that work best for specific diseases, were known as healers. Highly respected among their people, some were seen as doctors, others are called Medicine Men, or shamans.
Search properties of plants are still being researched at present and most of the main ingredients in many medicines we have today. These natural resources have different properties that are used for healing, as antibacterials, antibiotics, antiseptics and anti-fungal properties. Some of these natural remedies also are used to aid sleep, insect repellent, health and welfare. Drinking teas that are made of some plants are also advertised to aid in healing, relaxation and stress reduction.
Today aromatherapy is used in many different ways. Although essential oils are best, because it rubs directly to the skin, you can buy on sticks or cone-shaped well, which will operate. Some of these scents are used regularly, not only to make your house smells good, but to relieve stress or to change the mood of a person. There are scents to increase sex drive, others are used to cure diseases such as arthritis and colds. Plants such as Aloe Vera are used to cure by rubbing the gel-like substance to burn or cut. This results in faster healing and reduces the chances of scar Havinga injury.
Aromatherapy has become very popular in our culture, due to lifestyle as a result of a holistic approach we carry. We are just beginning to realize the importance of combining our spirit, mind and body to achieve the best possible health. We seek answers to diseases, and stresses that modern life as given to us.
With the rising cost of health care and quality of conventional medicine, We are beginning to use nature to help in the diseases we have. We must take the responsibility upon ourselves to educate ourselves to the life more balanced lives.
Does it have to be licensed in aromatherapy essential oils or to provide services in Alabama?
I am a certified equine therapist doing reflexology nutrition, energy balancing, acupuncture, and the raindrops on the horses. To provide services to humans, using essential oils – aromatherapy? Or, is the only certification is satisfactory?
